Please feel free to explore the neighborhood while you wait. Urth Caffé, Eightfold Coffee, Verve, and Blue Bottle are all conveniently located within walking distance of our shop. We will notify you as soon as your service provider is ready for you.

Things To Know

  • It is recommended that new clients arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

  • The entrance to the shop is discreetly located along the street side of Hewitt Street, please refer to your confirmation email for further details.

  • Bring photos for reference!

  • We recommend that clients come to their appointments alone. This allows our barbers to give you their complete attention and ensures that you can enjoy the atmosphere and conversations of the barber shop. For your convenience, there are many coffee shops nearby where your friend can wait.

  • Let your service provider know if your hair has had any chemical treatments (color, relaxer, etc.).

Courtesy Reminders

  • We kindly ask that you refrain from eating fried or fragrant foods prior to your appointment. We aim to keep our space as comfortable as possible for everyone.

  • As our floors may become slippery, we advise against wearing heels or similar footwear for your safety.

  • Our Takara Belmont barber chairs proudly feature the KOKEN name on the footrest, echoing the same craftsmanship and heritage from over a century go.

    · Please avoid standing on the chair footrest to prevent damage or accidents.

    · We also ask that you refrain from moving the chair with your feet, as this can cause a safety hazard.

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness (fever, cough or flu-like symptoms), please reschedule your appointment for a later date.

Cancellation Policy

To ensure the highest quality of service for all our clients, we request that appointments be cancelled or rescheduled at least 6 hours in advance. Please be aware that cancellations within 6 hours of the appointment time, or failing to show up, will result in a $35 fee.
